OREA's “Espresso Macchiato” kitchen project won bronze in the “Most Beautiful Kitchen” category at the Swiss Kitchen Award 2025. This success officially ranks the project among the most outstanding kitchen designs in Switzerland.

In addition to “Espresso Macchiato,” the OREA project “Le cœur de l'artichaut” was also nominated for the award in the “Best Kitchen Renovation” category.

About the Swiss Kitchen Award
The Swiss Kitchen Award is the most important award in the Swiss kitchen industry. It is presented every two years and honors outstanding kitchen projects in the categories “Most Beautiful Kitchen” and “Best Kitchen Renovation.”

Swiss company Orea AG received two awards at the prestigious German Brand Award 2025: in the categories “Excellent Brands – Interior & Living” and “Excellent Brands – Product Brand of the Year.” This double honor recognizes the company's exceptional brand work and highlights Orea's commitment to excellent design for high-quality kitchen and living concepts. “This recognition means a lot to us,” says David Spielhofer, CEO. “It confirms not only our commitment to excellent design and sustainable solutions, but also the continuous work of our entire team to build a strong, future-oriented brand.”

The award
The German Brand Award is presented annually by the German Design Council and the German Brand Institute. It is one of the most important brand awards in the German-speaking world and honors companies that impress with excellent brand management and sustainable brand strategy. By winning awards in two of the most important categories, Orea is sending a strong signal for innovation, design quality, and responsible entrepreneurship in the interior design sector.

Orea AG has been honored with the ICONIC AWARD 2024 – the globally recognized design prize. The orea x wogg received the AWARD in the Kitchen & Household category. The ICONIC AWARD aims to discover and honor the best in all areas of interior design.

The award
The ICONIC AWARDS 2024: Interior Products honor only the best of the best in the furnishing industry and interior design, creating a unique platform for networking between product designers and object developers. The award places a clear focus on the world of interior products and gives the coveted awards even more profile with a new name.

The jury's reasoning
Orea W is a purist, modular, and functional kitchen concept. The aluminum roll-front (Outside Wogg patent) is based on the WOGG 75 system and seamlessly encloses the furniture. This creates a tension between presentation and concealment. The concept is both technical and formally sensual. The front can be replaced in a short time. This makes the kitchen versatile and adaptable to a wide variety of rooms.

Orea AG has been honored with the GOOD DESIGN® Award—the world's most prestigious design award. The Orea T received the AWARD in the Kitchen & Appliances category. The GOOD DESIGN® Award aims to discover and honor the best in all areas of interior design.

The award
The GOOD DESIGN® Award, the world's most prestigious design award, was presented for the 70th time. The award is organized and sponsored by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design, which has been recognizing innovative products that impress in terms of form, function, and aesthetics since 1950. This year, Orea AG won an award for its innovative Orea T kitchen concept.

The Orea T continued to impress, resulting in this Orea product also receiving the Winner award in the Excellent Product Design Kitchen category at the German Design Awards. The German Design Award is one of the most prestigious design competitions worldwide and honors innovative products and projects that are groundbreaking in the international design landscape. The Orea T impressed the qualified jury. The jury's reasoning was as follows: “The cleverly designed and individually configurable cooking island not only impresses with its elegant appearance, it is also highly flexible. Individual zones can be covered or moved, allowing the work surface to be adapted to the cooking process. The option of attaching catering containers to the edge to free up space on the work surface is also practical and further increases convenience.”

The Orea T impressed the expert jury: The Iconic Award 2020: Innovative Interior honored the Orea T with the winner prize in the Kitchen & Household category. The goal of the Iconic Award is to discover the best in all areas of interior design. It creates a unique platform for networking in the interior design industry. The focus is on quality and design standards. The Orea T was tested on these and other criteria and proved to be excellent. The jury was impressed by the flexibility of space utilization and the simple, linear design. This allows users maximum individual expression while meeting holistic design standards.

The success of the Orea W on the national and international stage was confirmed when it received the Red Dot Award in the Product Design category, winning the Best of the Best award. The Red Dot Award is one of the largest design competitions in the world. In 2019, designers and manufacturers from 55 countries submitted more than 5,500 products, with only 82 of them receiving the Red Dot: Best of the Best award.

The Orea W impressed the jury with the following arguments: “This multifunctional wall inspires with its idea of expanding a basically classic design in a diverse and creative way. In a highly technical yet natural-looking manner, fascinating results can be achieved in interior design. The concept is captivating in its simple logic.”

The public has voted: out of the 16 nominees, they chose Orea +. Orea AG's project won over voters in the “Best Kitchen Renovation” category with its exceptional quality and exclusivity.

Orea AG was delighted to receive the gold award for best kitchen renovation on November 14. The Swiss Kitchen Award was presented for the fourth time by the industry association küche schweiz at the 11th Kitchen Congress in Trafo Baden. This is the third time that Orea AG has won a coveted Swiss Kitchen Award. This award is a great honor for us and our partners. It shows that our enthusiasm for design and quality is paying off. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who shares our passion,“ said David Spielhofer, CEO of Orea AG. Spielhofer continued: ”We would also like to congratulate all the other award winners, as they make a valuable contribution to ensuring and improving quality in the kitchen industry.

Opposites attract. This probably best describes the charm and appeal of this kitchen. Not only does it connect all the rooms in the 1908 city villa, it also bridges the gap between old and new. Over a century-old built-in wooden cabinets and ornate stucco work meet functional high-tech elements here. The room and kitchen form a perfect liaison without stealing the show from each other. And all this with unrestricted comfort in terms of functionality and state-of-the-art technology.

Finding a balance between functionality, sufficient storage space, and unobtrusiveness was the big challenge when installing the kitchen in the rather small room. The result is impressive. Where people used to eat, there is now a discreet and linear cooking island in matt white lacquer. It allows an unobstructed view of the original floor-to-ceiling built-in wooden cabinets and the ornate stucco ceiling. There is no extractor hood to disrupt the overall look with its interesting cabinet interior and eight-armed ceiling chandelier. This is made possible by the hob extractor recessed between the induction hotplates.
